Meet the OH Interns

Last month, we asked a group of talented, smart, and incredibly motivated interns to spend their summer with us. They have already blown us away with their creativity, analytical minds, and eagerness to achieve. Our hope is that this tribe of young talent takes advantage of the buzz within the walls of OH honing in on every opportunity.Trust us when we say, they won’t have to get anyone coffee.

We asked them a few questions to get to know them and what they hope to achieve during their time at OH. World, meet the newest bunch of OH Partners summer interns:

Paige Townsend

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

My main goal that I want to accomplish at OH this summer is to learn as much as I possibly can. I want to understand how OH works together as a whole and how each department operates. I want to learn how the agency and the clients work together and how they decide on an advertising campaign. I want to understand how to create a compelling message that works.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

My arms are extremely double jointed and my right arm is longer than my left.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

If I could be any crayon color I would be blue. Not because I’m sad or depressed, but because everything I like or anything that catches my eye is blue. Whether it’s shoes, clothes, cars or flavors like blue raspberry or blue cotton candy, I’ll choose it. It doesn’t even matter what the object is – if it’s any shade of blue, I want it.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

Being a recent graduate from the U of A (BEAR DOWN), I am looking to gain some real world experience at OH Partners for my life post college. Throughout my college education I have aspired to work in social media advertising. I am hoping to better understand the ins-and-outs of an advertising agency; from working with a large team to meeting the faces behind what makes media reach the public eye. I am hoping to advance my knowledge in the digital advertising space and prepare myself for a future career in advertising.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

One interesting thing about me is that I love to write short stories! Whenever I want to get my mind off something stressful or indulge in a fun activity, writing is my go-to. I love grabbing my computer and typing until my fingers fall off!

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

If I were a crayon in a crayon box, I would be a bright yellow. I am all about spreading positivity and light in any way that I can. Yellow is not only my favorite color, but a symbol for happiness and sunshine. I try my best to start each day with a smile and remind myself that I have a million reasons to be happy!

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

While I’m at OH, I hope to do work that makes a difference for somebody. Whether that be making something that impacts a client, or just making my boss’s day easier. I know that in being here, my top priority is to help others. I’m excited to build relationships with the other interns and OH employees.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I have a little musical talent – I was in choir for six years, performed in a few stage shows, and even co-founded an acapella group with my best friends (in the tradition of naming your group with a hilarious music pun, we called ourselves Staff Infection).

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

In the crayon box of OH, I would be slate blue! Blue is the color of communication, which is what my degree is in, and it represents qualities that I value like openness and intelligence. I think I would be a muted, gray-toned shade like slate since I tend to be quiet and relaxed.

Annelise Krafft

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

During my time with OH Partners, I’m hoping to help out with major clients and be a crucial part of all the behind-the-scenes work that helps the Public Relations team run smoothly. One of my goals for the summer is to plan an event all on my own!

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

The most interesting thing about me is that I seem to spend more time thinking about going abroad than doing anything else! I’ve been lucky enough to take a few trips to Spain which, at this point, feels like a second home to me.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

As a new addition to the crayon box, I would be Canary Yellow, one of the most underrated Crayola colors. This color is bright and bubbly like me and I hope that my addition to OH will leave the same effect on others!

Kayla Anderson

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

During my time at OH my main goal is just to learn as much as I can about working in an agency environment. I worked in-house as a graphic design intern last summer and I would love to find out which environment suits me best. So far I am loving agency life!

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

The most interesting thing about me would probably be that I love hiking! I have hiked almost every mountain in Arizona.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

If I were a crayon I would have to be the color yellow. Yellow is a vibrant, fun, and happy color and I think that suits my personality well. Also, people think I’m crazy because I actually enjoy the Arizona heat and as a kid I would always use the yellow crayon to draw the sun.

Molly Stolz

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

I hope to meet tons of new friends in the office and learn a lot in my department.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

I am obsessed with grilled cheese and polka dots.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I would be white because then I could expand my lifespan as a crayon since white is the most underutilized color of the pack.

What do you hope to accomplish during your time at OH Partners?

I would love this internship to open up my eyes to the full spectrum of advertising and branding. To go beyond just the graphics and into the hearts of companies. If the client has a goal to tell a story and relate, then our actions should be more than just words on paper.
I want to have a great experience meeting new friends, developing new relationships, and having the whole “I get to work today and do what I love all while laughing and having a good time!” experience. I also want to be challenged, and think outside of the box.
I want to continue to grow as an individual and a creative, with a team like this from what I know and have seen so far, it is highly achievable, in fact, I already have.

What’s the most interesting thing about you that we wouldn’t learn from your resume?

Definitely my personality. I would have to say that I am the guy that brings a smile to your face, laughs at his own jokes, and is a joy to be around. I also hate being told “no” so it makes me creative, and meticulous in all I do.

You’re a new addition to the crayon box. What color would you be and why?

I would be a mixture of yellow, bright pink, and light blue green. Yellow, because I’m a positive, outgoing, optimistic guy. Bright pink, because I’m very out there. I am an open person who is willing to talk about anything, I am bold and love to be seen, and everyone needs someone with a big smile and a positive attitude in their life. I would also be a light blue green because you have to add a little something different. I don’t want to be the same color as everyone else, I want to have my own little shine to be a light in the world.

Claire Xu
